The Essaouira medina
Along the Atlantic Ocean, the medina of Essaouira, a UNESCO heritage site, surrounded by its magnificent ramparts, its authentic fishing port in perpetual turmoil, its lively souks, remains preserved and retains its charm with its white facades and blue shutters. You will enjoy strolling through the old Mogador or discovering it with a guide.
Argan oil
The region of Essaouira is world famous for being the cradle of the centuries-old argan tree forests. From the fruit of this tree comes argan oil, whose culinary and cosmetic virtues are now world-renowned. You will be surprised to learn that 80% of the world’s production of argan oil comes from Essaouira, and you will not fail to discover the various small local producers who will invite you to discover their manufacturing process.
Kite Surf
Surf and Windsurf
Essaouira is also known as one of the best spots for kite surfing, surfing and wind surfing thanks to the thermal wind that blows abundantly (mainly between April and October). You will find many instructors to teach you these disciplines, whether you want to start or improve your skills.
It is impossible to be exhaustive here on all the pleasures and wonders of Essaouira, but let’s mention the camel rides, the cooking workshops, or the various festivals (Les Alizés, Festival Gnaoua,…).
